Cats teeth

I just woke up and got my teeth brushed! Yep you heard it right, Ma cleans our teeth everyday. I have always wondered what she was doing standing up in the bathroom in front of the mirror...well now I have my answer! She told me once that cats are mammals, and humans are mammals. We may have a different form, different functions, and a different amount of teeth, but generally cats teeth are built the same way, they grow very similarly, and they decay and fall out very similarly. So if there are reasons to clean teeth for humans, there also must be reasons for animals, like cats and dogs. So if you don't have time to struggle with your fur friend with a (special for cats) toothbrush and (also for cats) toothpaste here is what you can do : there is what I call tooth-wiping. Simply wrap one of your fingers in a piece of gauze (and not a simple tissue please otherwise it will dissolve in your cat's mouth), apply a small amount of a feline oral-care product to it, and run your finger once along your cat’s teeth on each side of the mouth. You’ll wipe away some of the plaque that is developing and put the active ingredients where they are needed most, from the back of the mouth up to the canine teeth. The whole procedure should take a total of about ten seconds … if your cat is cooperative, that is. A good thing is now I can greet Ma in the morning without her turning her head away because of my bad breath! Happy #whiskerswednesday my lovely friends. Enjoy your day🐾Love🐾Smokey🐾
