It's a tail's tale

Do you understand your cat's body language? Chewy is ready to start the day with a very clear statement. She is ready to go outside. She is all tail up looking desperately at the door , than at me, than again at the door trying to say : "do you understand me human? Me - Out!!! Me - Out! Meow ! It isn't that complicated to understand right?". If you pay attention to the position of your cat's tail, it can give you insight into your feline's mood and offer clues about what kind of behavior she is expecting from you.

When Chewy holds her tail high in the air, she's expressing confidence and contentment. When Smokey greets me at the door he does it with his tails straight in the air, which is a cat's way of saying he's happy to see me. On the contrary, if your cat's tail is moving fast and whips back and forth or slaps the ground well you should definitely leave him/her alone. Your cat is irritated and will likely exhibit aggression if you don't leave him be. Have a great day!
