Creatures of habits

Chewy's eyes are saying :"Are you crazy? I've been waiting for my dinner since 6pm! You're behind schedule ! I can't even look at you right meow, give me my dinner then we'll talk!" Chewy is used to eat every evening between 5.30 and 6pm. If you miss her dinner time she'll feel lost. Chewy as every other cat is a creature of habit who thrives on routine. Felines will have a set pattern they follow every day. Because they are territorial animals, a cat's routine is developed around your schedule and your household routines. While such a routine driven life may seem boring to us, humans, it helps cats feel safe. When their routines are disrupted (if you are moving from a home to another for instance) it can impact their physical health. I read everyday abandoned cats who are starving themselves to death. This is how sensitive a cat is. If possible don't change their routines and their environment, keep your routine and theirs as consistent as possible and you'll have some very happy and healthy kitty.
